Michael Kiwanuka, winner of BBC’s Sound of 2012 and British soul singer, premieres visuals for “Always Waiting” a song off his album Home Again. The video, while unexpected, fits the simple and soft Spanish-guitar led track perfectly.
The video follows the life of Spanish Alzheimers patient, while showing flashbacks of the younger life she once had. The song and video shows the cross between the past and present, and the confusion this brings for her makes for an emotional viewing experience.
Michael Kiwanuka’s album Home Alone was released in the UK last March and became digitally available in May. The soulful singer channels the life of Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye and is winning the hearts of critics with his soulful voice.
