Miley Cyrus is officially on the promo trail for the release of her upcoming album Bangerz. The young singer hosted SNL Saturday night and visited the TODAY show on Monday where she shut down Rockefeller Plaza.
Cyrus performed a slew of hits including “Party in the USA” and “Wrecking Ball”. In Miley fashion, she was accompanied by twerking little people and dancing rainbows and mushrooms. When she wasn’t performing, the singer took the time to chat with Matt Lauer about her controversial issue. “This is just who I am,” she said. “It’s only hard if you’re trying to be something you’re not. Being who you are is really easy, if you’re really true to that.”
Miley also addressed fer feud with Sinead O’Connor. “I think she’s an incredible artist, I thin she’s an awesome songwriter, and I was really inspired by her for my ‘Wrecking Ball’ video,” said the singer. “I don’t know how someone can start a fight with somebody by saying, ‘Hey, I really respect you and I really love what you did ..you know what, you suck.’ That was kind of crazy.”
What’s next for the young star, a tour! She plans on hitting the road next year, but in the meantime, she’s just living in the moment. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my whole life, so I’m really happy to be here.”
